I worked within the NHS from 1981 as a Theatre Practitioner, but became increasingly frustrated that I couldn't spend the time with patients that I felt they needed.  All too often patients' emotional needs are ignored.

A friend who suffered panic attacks visited a hypnotherapist and within a matter of weeks, not only had the panic attacks gone, but her whole life had turned around as she gained in self-confidence, changed her job and started a new relationship.

Seeing the remarkable changes that hypnotherapy can bring about, led me to decide to make changes in my own life.  I trained and qualified as a Hypnotherapist and Hypnoanalyst at the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis www.EICH.co.uk with the internationally renowned Terence Watts, a senior clinician and one of the most respected Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists in the business.

I am a Professional Clinical Hypnotherapist and Hypnoanalyst, who believes in client-centred therapy - helping people to help themselves within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  I believe that clients should be treated as individuals with therapy that is designed for their own individual needs, allowing lasting changes to occur.  My free initial consultation provides an opportunity to meet, discuss any questions you may have and decide on the best therapy for you.

As well as achieving a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and an Advanced Diploma in Hypnoanalysis, I am committed to ongoing personal development and so have trained with Michael Hahoney, a specialist in Irritable Bowel Disease (IBS), and with Kevin Hogan, www.kevinhogan.com, who is a recognised expert in treating Tinnitus and Chronic Illnesses.  I have also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Eye Movement Therapies (EMT). And I am a qualified EFT Practitioner.

I am fully covered by professional indemnity insurance, and belong to the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), comprising of individual practitioners who are able to satisfy their exacting criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements.

Naturally, all members of the Register are bound by a Code of Practice and Ethics.  There is an unconditional guarantee of confidentiality, and you can rest assured that I will always act with total discretion.
